Workshops

Oddly Moving run inclusive circus and theatre workshops for all ages and abilities!

Grania leads Oddly Moving's outreach work and is an experienced workshop leader, teaching floor based & aerial circus skills and physical theatre  to community groups, schools, youth clubs, events and night classes for many years, including companies such as Circomedia, Ockham's Razor, Bristol Aerial, Circus Fantastic and Funky Monkey before establishing Oddly Moving. Grania has directed two inter-generational shows at Skylight Circus Arts and been assitant-director for Ockham Razor's show Switch; a devised show with young people created in partnership with Contact Manchester.

Alongside the  tour of He Ain't Heavy we ran a programme of circus - theatre workshops designed for Special Education Needs schools, young people with behavioural challenges and atypical siblings. We also delivered training for venues on how to host relaxed performances, and have since provided training at No Fit State on teaching circus to young people with autism.

Alongside the tour of Atlas we launched two new workshops. We are very excited to collaborate with the Institute of Physics to deliver Circus & Physics workshops for Key Stage 3 students, currently supported by The Ogden Trust. We also created a Devising with Autobiography workshop that links to our audiostories project. Both workshops are available to book now.
